About

Adetayo “Tutipsy” Manuwa is a keynote speaker, musician, and founder of the award-winning One Community Project.

Originally from Nigeria and now based in Germany, his work explores how small encounters between people can dismantle prejudice and build trust across cultures and generations.

Through storytelling, music, and community initiatives, Adetayo creates spaces where strangers meet, listen, and discover shared humanity.

His intergenerational initiative, the One Community Project, connects seniors, students, and local communities through music and storytelling. The project received first place in the Saxony-Anhalt Integration Prize and was recognised by Germany’s Federal Agency for Civic Education for its contribution to democracy and tolerance.

In recognition of this civic engagement, Adetayo was invited by German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to the Bürgerfest at Schloss Bellevue.

In 2025 he delivered a keynote at the Urban Future Conference in Łódź, moving international audiences with his story of using music and human encounters to foster belonging and inclusive communities.

As a musical artist performing under the name Tutipsy, he blends Afro-influenced rhythms with storytelling to inspire connection beyond language.

One Community Project

Founded by Adetayo Manuwa in Dessau-Roßlau, the One Community Project creates encounters between generations through music, dance, and storytelling.

What began as visits between international students and seniors grew into a nationally recognised initiative promoting social cohesion and reducing prejudice.

The project received:

• 1st place – Saxony-Anhalt Integration Prize
• Recognition from the Federal Agency for Civic Education
• Selection in the “Active for Democracy and Tolerance” competition

Through shared rhythm, laughter, and conversation, the project shows how repeated encounters can transform strangers into community.
